St Germain is centrally located along the southern border of Vilas County right along Highway 70 and Highway 155. The area is a four-season recreation hub with nature trails, a paved trail system for walking and biking, popular Northwoods lakes such as Big St Germain Lake, Little St Germain Lake, Lost Lake, Found Lake, Lake Content and much more!
Our business community works well together to serve local residents and visitors. Residents and our business community banned together to support a bike park and a tremendous
playground on town grounds. St Germain is also home to a strong volunteer fire department that reacts with amazing speed and effectiveness to all sorts of calls. The Prime-Timers is a seniors group over 400 members strong based in St Germain who sponsor a number of community events.
The St Germain Bo-Boen Snowmobile Club is one of the largest clubs in the state of Wisconsin and is well-known for its high quality signage and trail maintenance for optimal snowmobiling conditions. The area caters to snowmobilers which is a primary driver of our winter economy.
